Graduate Trainee Program
Start your journey with us

Drive change for generations to come

Become part of an international team driving positive change for generations to come. Our new graduate trainee program will feature positions at a number of our sites and offices in Sweden, Finland, and Norway. During the program you will get to work in different business areas, sites and functions. However, you will begin the program in a permanent position that you return to after the program is completed. We encourage people of different academic fields and backgrounds to apply.

The application period begins in autumn 2025.

What we offer

As a graduate trainee with Boliden, you will gain valuable knowledge about the metals industry at one of Europe’s leading mining- and smelting companies. You will gain insight in how we operate, as well as get access to a skilled network of local and international colleagues. You will be offered a personal development program throughout the program period with a tutor and a mentor to support you in your development. The trainee period is divided into three different sections of approximately four months each. The program combines local internships at different locations with theoretical and practical training in our core areas, and features onsite practice, digital meetings, active learning, team activities, and physical meetings and workshops.

The Trainee Roadmap

The graduate trainee program is designed to give you a great start to your career as a young academic
professional. Work to increase self-awareness and improve communication skills,
self-leadership and motivation. Grow in your role with real business challenges and train
your ability to work in different settings and positions. Develop project management
skills such as planning, organizing, and seeing projects through from start to finish individually
and in teams. The program follows a roadmap with three practice periods: one at
homebase, one in another area, and one in a different role back at homebase. As a team,
you will work with different projects, and train in personal development

We will publish further information on our website and Boliden's social media.
Stayed tune, take the chance and apply!

We at Boliden are just as curious about you as you hopefully are about us - we always ask for other perspectives and welcome new approaches from our employees. We want you to take a place in Boliden's trainee family, take advantage of the opportunities given, dare to question and even fail.
That's how we learn and develop - together!
